-- The function of Present Continous Tense -- 
 A. To talk about the present
Something is happening at the moment of speaking.
Example :
* The children are sleeping in the bedroom now.

Something is happening before and after a given time.
Example :
* When I get home my father is praying.

The activity is temporary.
Example :
* Robben is at field. He is playing football right now.

To show something is changing, growing, or developing
Example :
* The children are growing quickly.

For something are happens again and again.
Example :
* It is always raining in Bogor.

B. To talk about the future
Something has been arranged or planned
Example :
* Ferdiyanto is going to go to Gresik next week.

C. To talk about the past
When we are listening a music.

Positive :
Subject + to be + v.ing +object
Example :
* They are queuing in the bank at the moment.

Negative :
Subject + to be + not + v.ing +object
Example :
* The doctor  isn't coming late now.

Introgative :
to be + subject + v.ing + object + ?
Example : 
* Are you visiting the library at the moment ?
